I’m rather disappointed with your article about keeping distros to a cdr size, and speaking to ubuntu ubuntu ubuntu (only) as a source for this article.
This is alrready being done by a major distro: Linux Mint.
FACT is that Linux Mint has taken the approach to offer its releases on cdr size for some time now (labeled as “no codecs” on the mirror sites) and offering the user the opportunity, if desired, to get the full dvd distro, by just a click away, from the Mint main menu.
